In-app browsing

A cleaner private browsing space inside the app

Private Browser is an in-app browsing mode in HarmanVPN. It keeps a temporary session separate from your system browser and is designed to clear session data during a normal close.

Private Browser is not a VPN by itself. Connect from the HarmanVPN home screen first if you want browsing traffic protected.

HarmanVPN

Inside the app

  • Use the real Private Browser screen in the Android app. This page explains behaviour; it does not invent a fake interface mockup.

What you get

In-app browser

Open pages inside HarmanVPN instead of handing off to an external browser.

Session history is not kept permanently

Private Browser history is not stored as a long-term account record.

Session data cleared on close

During a normal exit, the app clears cookies, cache, history, form data, and web storage from its in-app browser context. Device, network, websites, and third-party services may still keep data outside that context.

Simple address and search field

Enter a site or search term in a focused browsing bar designed for quick sessions.

Works with an active VPN session

When VPN is connected from the home screen, Private Browser traffic can use that tunnel.

Connect VPN first

For VPN protection, start a VPN connection from the HarmanVPN home screen first. Opening Private Browser alone does not create a VPN session. Without an active connection, browsing uses your normal device network.

What it does

  • Provides a temporary in-app browsing session
  • Uses an in-app browser context and clears its session data during a normal close
  • Routes traffic through your VPN tunnel when a home-screen VPN session is active

What it does not do

  • Does not guarantee absolute anonymity
  • Does not promise to stop all ISP or third-party site tracking
  • Does not claim malware protection
  • Does not claim to block fingerprinting completely
  • Does not connect VPN automatically when opened
