HarmanVPN Acceptable Use and Fair Usage Policy
This policy describes how HarmanVPN may be used, how location availability works, and the product rules for HarmanVPN Free and HarmanVPN Premium.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the HarmanVPN mobile application and supported platforms, the marketing site, and related control-plane services operated for HarmanVPN users.
2. Location availability
Locations may be Active, Coming soon, or Under maintenance. Coming soon and maintenance locations cannot be selected or connected and do not enter the Auto pool. Only Active locations with a working resolver mapping may accept connections when product rules allow.
3. HarmanVPN Free plan
HarmanVPN Free includes a monthly data allowance currently set to 1 GB (receive + transmit), measured by the control plane unless product settings change. Access may be restricted at the limit when active product settings require it. Ads may appear when configuration and consent allow. Active VPN locations are available on Free.
4. HarmanVPN Premium
HarmanVPN Premium currently includes unlimited data usage under product rules and is ad-free. Active VPN locations are available on Premium the same as Free. Premium is purchased in the Android app via Google Play. Monthly is $2.99 and yearly is $29.99; store prices may vary by country, currency, and applicable taxes.
5. Traffic limits
The backend entitlement and metering systems measure HarmanVPN Free usage. Active product settings determine whether access is restricted at the monthly limit. Additional limits may evolve as the product matures.
6. Prohibited misuse
You may not use HarmanVPN for:
- Unauthorized access to systems or accounts
- Distribution of malware or other harmful software
- Phishing or social-engineering attacks
- Spam or unsolicited bulk messaging
- Fraud or impersonation
- Child sexual abuse material
- Denial-of-service or other attacks that disrupt services
- Commercial misuse that encourages copyright infringement
- Content or activity that is unlawful where you use the service
- Actions that harm other users or HarmanVPN infrastructure
7. Security and service integrity
Do not attempt to bypass authentication, peer limits, or availability controls. We may suspend access that threatens service integrity or other users.
8. Advertising and data use
We do not use VPN traffic content or browsing history for advertising. When advertising is enabled for Free users, HarmanVPN may use third-party advertising SDKs and services. Depending on the active application configuration, these may include providers such as Google and Unity. Ads are typically fullscreen interstitials around supported connect/disconnect interactions. Ad requests are gated by app-level consent where required. If an eligible ad cannot be shown, the requested VPN action continues. Harman Premium does not show ads. Advertising availability does not determine VPN availability.
9. Service changes
We may change available locations, plan details, and fair-use thresholds as the network and product mature. Material changes will be reflected in this policy and related product screens.
